The Game Plan

  1. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.

  2. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, paprika, cayenne, and salt. Pour over chicken.

  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.

  4. Remove chicken and shred or cube it, then return to the sauce.

  5. Stir in heavy cream and let it warm through for 10-15 minutes on HIGH.

  6. Cook jasmine rice according to package directions.

  7. Serve tikka masala over rice, garnished with fresh cilantro.
