The Game Plan

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish with olive oil.

  2. Spread about 1/2 cup marinara sauce across the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. Arrange the fresh ravioli in an even layer over the sauce — it's fine if they overlap slightly. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  4. Pour the remaining marinara evenly over the ravioli, making sure every piece gets some coverage. Scatter red pepper flakes on top if using.

  5. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

  6. Remove foil, spread mozzarella in an even layer over the top, and return to the oven uncovered for 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to brown at the edges.

  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Top with fresh basil if you have it.
