Chicken Street Tacos
"The deli's street taco kit is good. Yours will be better — juicy seasoned chicken, charred tortillas, and toppings that didn't come in a sealed compartment."

The Game Plan
-
Slice chicken thighs into thin strips. Toss with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and half the lime juice.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or on a griddle over high heat. Cook chicken strips 3-4 minutes per side until charred and cooked through. Let rest 2 minutes, then chop into small pieces.
-
Warm tortillas directly over a gas flame or in a dry skillet until slightly charred and pliable, about 30 seconds per side.
-
Dice avocados and toss with remaining lime juice and a pinch of salt.
-
Build tacos: tortilla, chicken, diced onion, avocado, cilantro, and a drizzle of salsa verde.
